if you are concerned about recent events in tibet, and wish for china to refrain from violence and instead, open up dialogue with the dalai lama, please take a few seconds to sign this petition.
Tensions between China and Tibet are most likely being stirred up now because of the upcoming Olympic Games in Beijing. To be a host nation, welcoming the world to your doorstep, and simultaneously being a dominant oppressive force towards another country is a little bit of a hard pill to swallow. I think the Dali Lama's stance is a good one (to not support the violence occurring in Tibet), but is it such a challenge to not combat injustice with aggression. I sense something just and righteous will come out of all of this. It is an interesting development nonetheless.
